Check the listing for details. Unique Copper Colored Raccoon - RARE. Condition: Used. Listed at 875.00 USD. A unique, rare, cinnamon colored raccoon mount on driftwood with full winter coat and long brown guard hairs. 'Cletus' is posed with his front paw in the air, nose raised and his ears pricked inquisitively, searching for sound. This is a natural 'red' pigment variation, not a faded or albino mount. The red raccoon's beautiful coat is caused by erythrism, a genetic condition that causes reddish pigmentation of the fur and skin. Erythrism in raccoons usually runs in families. Not a new mount, but in great condition except for a scar in the right cheek. Can also be displayed as a wall-mount. Height 15 inches, Width 11 inches, Length 35 inches Free shipping in Continental US only The raccoon is a bear-like mammal of medium size. Its fur is gray to brown (with rare blond and red variations), with a black mask surrounding its eyes and white fur on the outside of the mask, around its nose, and a stripe running from its nose to its forehead. It has a ringed, bushy, tail and five toes of each of its black paws. Its paws resemble human hands to some extent. Their toes, being flexible, help them to grab, hold and pull things apart. The raccoon is an excellent climber and is able to descend a tree face first or backward (Animalia.bio)
