Shim set for adjusting the distance between the Universal brand player stack and the keys by using shims between the stack and the keybed. This technique was used originally by Universal at the factory, but when servicing the stack (especially after rebuild work or keybed felt replacement) it may be necessary to have some additional shims.This kit includes 6 shims 1/8" thick, 4 shims .060" thick, 2 shims .030" thick and 2 shims .020" thick. This is enough to raise (well, technically lower....) the stack up to 1/2" on both sides (or up to 1" on 1 side). I'm Howard Gustafson and I've been a piano technician since 1985.
