The neck of a mandolin is under SO much pressure, way more than a guitar, so as it settles and shifts the strings will begin to buzz where there are imperfections. Quickly, the strings dug too deep into the nut because it was made out of cheap plastic, so I replaced it with a custom one, laser cut to fit this mandolin.
