US Navy Officer WWII-1980s Archive Adm Halsey Eisenhower Photos Coat Documents. Archive of material from Harold Joseph Ferguson, who served in the US Navy for 46 years. Served in WWII and Korea, served on one of the ships blockading Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and had an illustrious career with the Navy. His officers coat has 7 stripes on the sleeve and has his battle service bars on the breast. Coat has damage from moths, is a bit dirty, sadly isnt in the best condition. Also included is his heavier cape/ coat which also has some wear but is in a little better condition. Scrapbook is full and dates from WWII- 1980s. There are quite a few photos of him, WWII parties, some Navy Admirals, some various ships. There is one snapshot of Gen. and future President Dwight D. Eisenhower, and several snapshot photos of Admiral Halsey. There are some certificates, and much of the scrapbook is actually photo copies of newspaper articles and other items. There is a letter to him from Congressman Claude Pepper that is hand signed, as well as some other letters from Navy Admirals and some politicians (nobody super famous tho). Scrapbook has wear and the stuff should probably be removed and put in a new acid free one. Some stuff is in there loose some things are glued in.
