The inside of the EQ is clean throughout and all capacitors are in fine condition. Like most frequency equalizers, you can connect it through a tape monitor loop (with a switch to allow the tape monitor to still be used), or if you have a separate preamp and amp, you can connect if from the pre-out on the preamp to the input of your amp.
