This is a very old sideboard which has been in my family since the 1950s.I'm no expert but I'd guess it dates from c.1870.It's well made,strong and mostly pine but not sure if the top may be hardwood.It's very heavy.I remember when I was a child,it used to be finshed in black lacquer possibly with gold linework,although I may be imagining this.My mum painted it in the present colours in the 1970s.It's a good solid piece of furniture with all joints nice and tight and no woodworm.The only real damage other than paint chips is a tiny bit of mouse nibbling at the bottom of the left side cupboard. There it is,all ready for a new home and some TLC.Any queries,please ask. So buyer collects,please,and I'm near Ashford,Kent.Thanks.
