This is an estate sale find, it is a 1928 Reed & Barton water pitcher pattern no.5585 The pitcher has a nice Neoclassical profile and the side of this pitcher has a hammered finish.It is a diamond in the rough, and will require some elbow grease to bring it back to a nice shine. But the bones are solid, and once cleaned up it will be spectacular, and useful. This pitcher is in very good shape (all tarnish aside) there are no scratches or dents.I kind of like the natural patina the pitcher has developed, it has almost an Aurora Borealis look to it.See picture with scale for an idea of size.
