I believe this piece is to commemorate the first hydrogen balloon flight in France during the 18th century. I am unsure as to the actual date it was made. The pendant frame is solid with nice age to it. It measures 5 1/7 7 inches. The hanger is made of brass. There is cardboard on the back, which is secured with tape and should be replaced.
