Falcon Here is the background on this holy grail Falcon frame.My brother owned a bicycle store starting in 1976.He became a Falcon dealer shortly after this time.He had attended a retailers bicycle sales show in Chicago in the early 1980`s.At this show was the importer of the Falcon bike line, Ochsner Imports.Othon , the owner, was there showing his goods.On the shelf was a rare Campagnolo car rim, Campy made a lot of things for the motorcycle and auto industry.Also at this show, which was the last stop on the show circuit, was this one off chrome Falcon frame set.He was informed that this frame was the only one made of Columbus tubing. Made for the show circuit.Most of the frames were made with Reynolds tubing.The frame does not have any indication of the material so this story is the only information we have.I also attended this show and I do remember Othon sitting there and the Campy car rim on the shelf for display.The show filled several floors of a hotel. You would go in and out of each room shopping for bike parts and bikes you may want to buy.You can see that my brother used a Campy quick release seat post clamp.I am sure the bike came with a double barrel Campy brand bolt set up from the factory.I just disassembled the bike so all of the threads are clean. Frame size measured from center of bb to center of top tube.=55cmTop tube length measured from center of seat tube to center of head tube =55cmThe Campy Super record alloy headset will sell with the frame.The frame has been off of the road and stored inside of my house , unridden, for more than 30 years.It does show some age, character.
