Check the listing for details. Vintage GE Series Heater Checker PTR-981 - Untested But Should Work. Condition: Used, Made in United States. Listed at 33.49 USD. As you can see from the image of the circuit inside, its a very simple design. Short of smashing it, the only thing that can go wrong is the battery going dead or the bulb burning out. As such, I'm guessing that the unit still works (save for the battery and maybe the bulb.).
