The piece is 4 1/2 inches tall by 8 3/4 inches long and has very good weight. It is rather plain in form, with a hinged lid and a domed finial. There are no stamps or monograms. There are no visible marks. Condition on the piece is fair. There are a couple of large dents, some corroded patches and heavy wear from use. Still a decent piece of vintage institutional silverplate.
