Check the listing for details. Vintage John Hornbeck Bolo Tie. Color: Blue, Condition: Pre-owned - Good. Listed at 400.00 USD. Vintage tufacast bolo tie by John Hornbeck. He studied tufacasting with Preston Monongye in the 1960s-'70s and still owns the Red Shell Trading Post in Gallup, New Mexico. According to John, pieces that he cast were occasionally sold as having been made by Preston Monongye. A testament to just how good his tufacasting is. The bolo is cast with a large Peyote Bird design topped off with Lone Mountain turquoise. The turquoise has a couple old cracks but are stable. A classic vintage bolo tie by one of the great tufacast masters. Bolo tie measures 2 7/8" by 1 1/2" Weight is 2.4 oz with cord + tips.
