I'm not a seamstress but I did sew a little with this machine and it seems to work as it should. I've done some cleaning of the moving parts and some light lubricating and have also bolstered the plastic pieces in the base that support the machine as some had broken, which is common for these. You'll see some tape on the machine that I've left for the new owner to do with as they like.
