This thick slab coffee table is from a centuries old cypress log sunken in a lake or river in Florida. These logs are transformed over a long period of time by aquatic fungus and worms, eating the wood until becoming the artistic piece you see today. It is referred to as Pecky Cypress. This is one of the most expensive and rarest types of wood you can find, due to the nature of it being sunken and hard to recover. Tables such as this are hardly ever seen. It looks like a museum quality piece, that you can enjoy displaying in your home to gaping friends and family.
