Check the listing for details. VINTAGE U.S. ARMY MODEL 142 INSECTICIDE DUSTER 1944. Condition: Used. Listed at 100.00 USD. A military surplus item. This is an air pressure hand held duster for delousing personnel (soldiers and concentration camp survivors). You tube has video of this item in action. The somewhat triangular piece at the front has on one side embossing which reads; Dobbin Mfg. Co. No. St. Paul Minn Elmhart Ind. The opposite side reads Model No. 142 Dust Gun 1944 contract no. 12-036-QM 9106. One end of this item has a screw cap which I have not attempted to remove. I imagine this is where the insecticide was added. The trigger mechanism is merely a spring operated push button which allows the product under pressure, to exit the end. I have no knowledge as to whether this item was ever used or contained whatever. Mailed Flat Rate Medium.
