Check the listing for details. Vintage US Civil War Tin Map Tube Case. Condition: Used, Made in United States. Listed at 99.99 USD. This map tube is in good condition for it's age. Made to put maps in during the US Civil War. Made of ton soldered together. I have shown in my pictures how the end cap locks on the tube with a wire on the tube and a hook on the cap. On the ends of the tube the wire has partially come undone from the solder. more so on one end than the other. The tube has a few dents. The outside of the tube has surface rust and the inside has a shiny tin finish with signs of dark spot aging. The tube measures 15 1/4" long and 2 7/8" in diameter.
