Authentic US WW2 Army General Officer’s Belt & 24K Gold-Plated Buckle. These belts were issued to US Army Generals, often as part of a full rig with pistol and holster. Buckle is 24K gold-plated brass. Features authentic two-piece construction (not a one-piece repro) of round laurel wreath frame surrounding separate die-cast Army eagle crest with 13 stars above and talons holding wheat and olive branch. Originals like this feature a gilt-type finish over brass. Genuine aging pieces have this soft muted gold patina—not a bright shiny metal look. Measures 1.75" wide by 36" long. Back of the belt is medium brown leather with 4 rows of stitching.
