This is an unopened Type I. 8 oz bar of soap, originally issued to US soldiers during World War II. The paper wrapper is still intact mostly. The soap is an original period item. It was a LARGE bar used to be carried in the Gi's ration bag or pack. The men would wash out of a helmet so the size of this bar was great for use! It can lather in soft, hard, Or sea water! Great for that reenacting event near the lake or ocean. This soap is also perfect for display or as a collector's Item. This is the much harder to find eight once bar!!!
