This WWI M1910 Summer Tunic, Size Small/Medium, plus Barracks Bag and 47th Infantry Comp B are a must-have for any Militaria collector. The tunic and bag are both original and authentic, made in the United States during World War I (1914-18). They are perfect for displaying or as a prop in a film or theater production. The tunic features a Conflict aspect of WW I (1914-18) and a Theme aspect of Militaria. The Country/Region of Manufacture and Region of Origin aspects are both the United States. This item falls under the Collectibles and Militaria categories, specifically in the WW I (1914-18) and Original Period Items subcategories. Personal and Field Gear aspects are also included in this item. These are two fantastic military pieces from World War I. I bought these at a garage sale a few years ago from family members. The soldier was PVT Arthur Glezner from Wisconsin. I did some research and found out that he survived the war and returned home. The barracks bag is in amazing condition and is blue denim and has only a few small holes and tears. His hand sewn, stenciled name and rank information is still intact and his name tag and home city/state is on a tag at the bottom. The American Railway Express Co tag is still attached at the top of the bag near the cinch ropes. This bag is an amazing survivor from over 100 years ago. The 47th Infantry Regiment is an infantry regiment of the United States Army. Constituted in 1917 at Camp Syracuse, New York, the regiment fought in World War I, and was later inactivated in 1921. The tag inside the pocket is very faded but I believe a part of the text shows: Phila. Depot 1913. I can’t read anything else The tunic has a lot of wear and is heavily stain, but there are no holes , rips or tears in the jacket. Many of the original buttons are still intact, and the spare buttons are authentic to the period. I thought about having it professionally cleaned, but decided to let the next owner consider that. This small collection is an amazing archive and tells a story from military history. Look closely at all the pictures and send along any questions prior to purchase.
