I bought this on eBay a few years back, I am going to repast that old description below. The only thing is that the cork has now come apart and needs a replacement. Old description: For Sale is a Mark VII British Canteen dating to the Wil era. The canteen is green enamel with cork and string. I cannot verify that the cork and string are original to the canteen. The canteen remains in its original green felt cloth and is in pristine condition. The carrier is the 1937 pattern (P-37) bucket-type that the British Army adopted in 1940 over the webbing framework type. I also cannot verify that the shoulder strap is part of the original canteen. The shoulder strap is traditional khaki green while the bucket-type carrier had a slightly bluish cast.
