No prior jet time is required. The prerequisites for this course are: U.S. FAA Private, Commercial or ATP Pilot Certificate, with Multi-Engine Land and Instrument Ratings. Included are comprehensive Ground and Flight Training to satisfy all FAR 61.55(b)(1) requirements for the SIC TYPE RATING. The flight portion is approximately 1 hour and is conducted in our Primus 1000 EFIS equipped CE-560XL Aircraft located in Northern California. Tasks to be demonstrated are defined in FAR 61.55(b)(2). Upon successful completion, you will be given a signed Form 8710 which you can take to an FAA Flight Standards Office for the re-issuance of your pilot certificate with the CE-560XL type rating subject to the limitation "CE-560XL SIC PRIVILEGES ONLY". When you're ready, you can do an efficient upgrade to PIC. The CE-560XL Second in Command Type Rating allows the holder to act as Second in Command of the Cessna Citation Excel, XLS, or XLS+.
